About me
Professional Summary
My colleagues often describe me as resilient, ambitious, and deeply empathetic. As I transition into the UX field, I carry a simple philosophy: products should be as compassionate as the people who use them. Whether I’m designing an app, a website, or a social media campaign, my goal is to create interactive moments that resonate emotionally with users. Currently, I am expanding my toolkit through the Google UX Design Professional Certificate to complement my recent UX training from Cornell. I’m a firm believer in self-improvement and helping others grow along the way.

Experience:
School Site Instructional Tech Support, Cupertino Union School District, - Current
My goal is to provide prompt and supportive technical support at the School site by solving problems and making a difference in daily technical needs. Managing and troubleshooting more than 900 devices, which include students, teachers, staff, and volunteers devices. Devices include iPads, Mac computers, Chromebooks, Apple TVs, Printer, Copier, Alamos and more.
As a growth-minded Tech Specialist, I believe in learning and teaching while helping teachers, staff members, volunteers, and students. Creating clear directions, presentations, and supporting documents that give step-by-step instructions that are easy to understand for different kinds of learners is a challenging task. To provide direct support, For example, teachers and sub-teachers with more tech knowledge will need less support than nontechnical staff members. Creating 2 versions of one document that is visual and written instructions can help verbal and visual learners.
In addition, troubleshooting other hardware and software issues related to printers, projectors, device charging carts, and computer screen mirroring devices is part of daily tasks as well.
Tight deadlines and pressing situations can create a lot of pressure for anyone and dealing with a calm mind and prompt support is very crucial during that time. For example, the testing period and an open house period are very stressful times for staff members and during that time if systems crash and log-ins do not work it can be nerve-wracking for some. As an empathic active listener with an optimistic perception, it helps me to understand one’s viewpoints and needs for resolving technical issues.
Web and Graphic Designer, Provident CU, CA
I was brought in as a contract web graphic designer to help with the marketing department projects. The challenge was to finish a large design project in a short time. Daily email blasts that require updating banners, text updates, links, and landing pages. Tasks require processing emails through supervisors, and compliance while making sure e-blasts are sent out before deadlines.
Deadlines were the most crucial during the process since many different items were involved in approving the design work. For example, an e-blast would go through the design team, compliance team, management, and publishing team before going live. Of course, designing and updating newspaper ads, banners, and text with details were essential requirements.
Web/Graphic Designer, AI Academy, Cupertino, CA
Ai Academy’s website and marketing materials to promote their classes and summer camps were designed and rebranded by me. Ad campaigns were promoted via social media to run on multiple media sources like Facebook and Instagram. Updates were made weekly/monthly (as needed) and ran ads on both platforms to promote classes. In addition, sites like Neighborhood & Cupertino Patch were also used to post and promote class and camp ads.
Web/Graphic Design Admin, Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, Palo Alto, CA
Designed Bulletins for Sunday services, Easter, Christmas, Baptisms, Marriages, and Memorials. Served around 150 people every Sunday and even more so online. The design process involved a lot of changes with time crunches and a lot of collaboration with volunteers, staff members, and musicians.
WordPress was the platform used for designing church websites. The website included plug-in Mailchimp forms, CCB Database, and Google response forms. UI and UX design was a bit challenging since the end users were from groups that were digitally sophisticated to users NOT wanting to use digital technology at all.
Web and Graphic Designer, Basant Somani, Realty One Group, Cupertino, CA
Designed marketing materials and websites. Designed property flyers and business cards within the given budget, time, and standard requirements.
Worked on projects from start to finish with Basant, a real estate company, and 3rd party vendors. Front-end design work was done according to templates allotted by real estate companies.
Collaborating effectively with all parties and teams was a challenge conquered successfully.

Responding to a variety of web and marketing-related requests from across the offices. Improvement of the look and feel of the marketing flyers with icons, logos, templates, and layouts. Web publishing and website management with HTML, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.
Graphic and visual design for web images, forms, logos, flyers, business cards, and marketing material using Photoshop, InDesign DreamWeaver, Fireworks, and Google Docs. Design for printed handouts and slide templates for the presentations.
